Coming to Life

Emerson is 8 weeks old now, and she is really coming to life. I have noted many changes in the last few weeks. As one can see from her pictures, the most obvious change is the growth of her cheeks. They are so darn cute that I just want to kiss them all the time. Another big change is that she is starting to smile and coo a lot. I love it when she laughs out loud for no reason. I am just hoping that more of the cries will turn into smiles soon. She has also been sleeping less. I think if she realized how darn cute she is while sleeping she would do it more often. (see picture below....and don't worry about her sleeping on her belly....she was being watched).

I haven't talked much about Cosmo lately. She injured her leg on Monday night while trying to jump up on the ottoman. She has been milking her injury, and maybe it's even a fake injury for attention. While I was bathing Emerson last night, Cosmo limped into the bathroom to find out why her sister was having so much fun. I guess she wants to be near her sister no matter the amount of pain.

I can not believe I still have not had the chance to hold my little niece. Hopefully I will make it down for Christmas and have my chance then...sure I will have to fight her away from grandma!

I swear she gets cuter with every posting you make. You're right - her cheeks really have filled out! She looks so sweet and squooshy - I can't imagine how you can ever keep your hands off her!

Poor Cosmo! And how dare you suggest she fake an injury for attention - I'm sure she'd NEVER do such a thing! ;) I hope she quits limping soon!
