Recovery

I think we are finally starting to recover from the stomach virus that has haunted our house for several days. It all started on Thursday morning when Emerson threw up in her crib, and it hit Jim and me on Friday. It was an extremely hard weekend trying to clean up after a kid when you feel like you are dying. We ended up taking Emerson to the doctor on Monday, and she had lost 1-1/2 pounds in a week, but she was well hydrated. Fortunately, after a couple of days at home, I think the virus may be leaving Emerson's system!

I don't think I have ever had a stomach virus, and I never want it again...and Emerson never needs it again!

On a more positive note, Emerson has been a trooper through this whole thing, and has become quite the comedian. One of her new things this week is to wear a hat in the house. That's why she is wearing a cupcake hat in the photos...not because I think she is cold.

Little Duck

Jim and I call Emerson a little duck because of a pair of yellow pajamas her grandma bought her. And I just recently remembered that my friend, Belinda, gave me a yellow duck jacket at my baby shower. Emerson can finally wear the jacket from Miss B so she posed for some photos...well, not really...I just snapped photos as she strutted around!
