After my ultrasound today, my doctor decided that she would induce my labor next week...two weeks early. The ultrasound showed the baby weighing approximately 5-1/2 pounds and she isn't gaining weight as rapidly as she should. However, she's considered full term this week so the doctor said we should deliver her early so that she can get better nourishment outside of the womb.
If all goes as planned, the baby will have a September 11th birthday. My doctor asked if it would be okay with me, and I told her as long as I have a healthy baby I don't care what her birth date will be.
I can't tell you how overwhelmed I felt when I left the doctor's office today. I have repeatedly said that I would love for her to come early, but now that it's a week way, it's a bit scary. Everyone keeps telling me to get my rest this week but how can I rest knowing that I will have a baby girl this time next week!

I could not be more happy for you, I'll keep you in my prayers wishing you a painfree and safe delivery and most important, a healthy baby! I can't wait to meet her!!! Just think another girl to go shopping with!!!
I'm absolutely dying of excitement for you! Remember, if there's anything at all you need help with, whether it's now, during the delivery, or after the baby arrives, or even if you just want someone to talk to, I'm just down the road from you - you have my number and you'd better use it! :)

I cannot believe that she is almost here. I'm so ready to meet her, love her and spoil her rotten. I know that she will bring you the joy that you and Jason have given me. You and Jim are about to experience the most precious gift ever created. I'm so very happy for you Dawn, my little "princess" having a princess of her own. Love you dearly!!
