Vacation

Emerson enjoyed our beach vacation. She liked playing in the sand and knocking down Daddy's sand castles. She also enjoyed swimming in the lake. We had a good trip and can't wait to go back next summer.

New Toy

Emerson loves her new play set. We haven't been able to keep her inside since we put it up over the weekend. Mommy, daddy, and Emmy all have our own swings, and I think I'm enjoying it as much as Emerson!

Playing Dress-Up

This is what happens when you take your eyes off a kid for two seconds...mommy's bra (or boob as Emmy calls it) around a neck and a sock on a hand. Emmy was so proud of herself, and couldn't wait for me to see her.

Two Ponies

Emerson now likes to wear her hair in two ponies. If you look real close, you can see two curly ponies on her head! Unfortunately, two ponies stay in about as long as one pony...just a matter of minutes!

Little Girl, Big Shoes!

Emerson loves wearing mommy and daddy's shoes around the house. She recently graduated to heels...and she can run in them too.

Emmy Gymnastics

Emerson is fascinated with somersaults. Lately, she has been doing them repeatedly but I haven't caught them on tape until now. This is a video of one somersault, and Emerson ending her floor routine with a few rolls!

Vocabulary

Emerson continually amazes Jim and me with her vocabulary and her increased use of three and four syllable words and putting them in sentences. It seems like she learns several new words a day and can repeat almost any word we say to her. Some of Emerson's new words include motorcycle (and she points them out every time we see one on the road), dandelion, elephant, and equipment.
