Emerson loves looking out the window. We were playing peek-a-boo with her curtain this weekend, and when she stopped to peek out the window I snapped this shot.
In other news...she's almost a walker. She is starting to get good at standing on her own and can even take a step or two. I think it's just a matter of time before she takes off walking across the room. Once she starts standing for a few seconds longer I will get it on video.
My little monkey is a good sleeper once she finally settles down. Check out the butt in the air sleep position. I hate to bug her when she's sleeping, but I couldn't resist taking another picture of her butt in the air.
I haven't had much time to post lately between working, exercising and of course, playing with Emerson so here's a picture for Grandma. I'm sure that she is going to tell me any day now that she's ready for a new pictures...so here it is...
I think Emerson misses spending so much time with me because she finally started saying mama. Of course, dada is still her favorite word, but I now rate a close second.
Emerson has also learned how to clap her hands. I have been working with her what seems like forever, and I never thought it would happen. It's way too cute. I will try to get it on video this weekend.
Emerson was a little firecracker on the Fourth of July. She walked all over the place with her walker (see above video).
We also took her to see the Carmel fireworks last night, and she didn't seem to mind them. I think she was more interested in watching the people watch the fireworks though.
